CCPS is a leader in school psychology practices, in New York City and its surrounding areas, both as a private entity and one that much larger institutions have relied on, to refer to and contract with. School psychology or psycho-educational evaluation refer to assessments designed to help a student succeed by recognizing their strengths, weaknesses and learning style but also point to deeper issues such as a learning disorder, ADHD, more executive or psychological issues, at play. A lot of neuropsychological batteries often include a part of or complete psycho-educational testing.
While most of the referrals CCPS boasts are private, CCPS has partnered with the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), BOCES, several school districts in Long Island and Westchester, and the charter school system. It has also been a longtime supporter and vendor to CUNY and its colleges and universities.
